Business Terms (Stylingcorner PRO)
These terms govern the use of Stylingcorner by businesses — both the free Marketplace listing and the Stylingcorner PRO subscription. The provider is IDS Business Live AG, Badenerstrasse 808, 8048 Zürich, Switzerland (UID CHE-140.202.303).
They apply in addition to the customer terms where the business itself uses the platform as a user.
1. Subject of the contract
Stylingcorner provides the business with software (calendar, customer management, checkout, services, team, vouchers, analytics) and a public Marketplace listing with online booking.
Stylingcorner does not provide beauty services, does not act as an agent with authority to conclude contracts, and never becomes a party to treatments. The treatment contract is always between the business and its customer; the business remains the service provider and contracting party for the treatment, including warranty, professional duties and any required licences.
The Stylingcorner PRO subscription is a separate contract between the business and IDS Business Live AG for software and the listing. It is legally and financially separate from the business's treatment contracts with its customers. The customer terms govern only the relationship between customers, salon and platform and create no rights under this subscription.
2. Registration and business account
Registration is reserved for businesses lawfully operating in Switzerland. The business warrants that the company, address and contact details provided are correct and keeps them up to date.
The owner is responsible for the account. Additional staff receive their own personal logins with their own role and permissions through team management.
Logins must not be shared: everyone working in the system signs in with their own credentials. The business withdraws access from departing staff without delay.
Application of these terms: at registration, a note below the button states that these terms apply, and they are linked together with the Privacy Centre; on completing registration they apply to the free plan. Before a paid PRO subscription is taken out, they are linked again in the subscription area and apply to the subscription. There is currently neither a checkbox nor a record of the accepted version, either at registration or at subscription checkout.
3. Plans, prices and term
The Marketplace plan is free (CHF 0). Stylingcorner PRO costs CHF 99 per month or CHF 990 per year. All prices are in Swiss francs; any applicable VAT is shown on the invoice.
The billing period starts when the subscription is taken out and then renews automatically for the same duration (month or year) until cancelled. It does not follow the calendar month: subscribing on the 12th means renewal on the 12th.
PRO is only activated once the first payment has actually been paid. An abandoned or failed first payment never activates PRO; until then the business stays on the free Marketplace plan and owes nothing for a period that was never activated.
If a renewal payment fails, PRO remains fully usable during a grace period of 72 hours from the failure. During that time the payment is retried automatically (roughly 24 and 48 hours after the failure) and the business is notified by email.
If payment is still not made, PRO is suspended once the grace period ends. The business keeps its free Marketplace listing and access to existing appointments; PRO features such as online booking, calendar and checkout are no longer available. Suspension does not delete any data.
If the outstanding invoice is paid later, PRO is reactivated.
Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance and apply from the next billing period. Until then the business may cancel with effect from the end of the period.
4. Customer payments and payouts
Customers' online payments run through Stripe directly to the business. The business is the payee (merchant of record) and accepts Stripe's terms for this; payouts are made by Stripe to the account on file.
Stylingcorner retains no commission on treatments or product sales. Stripe's fees are borne by the business.
Subscription fees and customer payments are entirely separate: Stylingcorner invoices the subscription through its own Stripe account, while customer payments run through the business's Stripe account. Outstanding subscription fees are never offset against customer payments or the business's payouts.
Refunds, credit notes, receipts and the correct handling of VAT and tips are the business's responsibility. The platform's checkout and analytics are tools and replace neither bookkeeping nor tax advice.
Vouchers the business issues through Stylingcorner are obligations of the business towards its customers. Stylingcorner only keeps a record of them.
5. Content, profile and availability
The business is responsible for all content in its profile: services, prices, duration, descriptions, images, opening hours, staff and availability. It warrants that it holds the necessary rights to uploaded images and texts and grants Stylingcorner the right to use them to display the profile.
The business keeps its availability up to date and honours confirmed appointments. Repeatedly missed appointments can lead to online booking being disabled.
Not permitted are, in particular: misleading price or service information, content infringing advertising law or third-party rights, and offers requiring a licence the business does not hold.
Stylingcorner may remove content that breaches these terms or applicable law and may temporarily hide the profile.
6. Reviews
Reviews come exclusively from customers with a completed appointment booked through Stylingcorner. The business may reply publicly but can neither delete nor alter reviews.
The business must not buy, coerce or incentivise reviews, and must not post reviews about itself.
7. Data protection and processing on instruction
For the customer data the business processes in the system, the business is the controller under data protection law; Stylingcorner processes that data as a processor. The data processing agreement (DPA) in the Privacy Centre governs this. Owners and managers can accept it in PRO under Settings → Privacy & Data.
The business undertakes to use customer data only for its own services, to grant staff only the permissions they need, and to answer its customers' access or deletion requests itself.
How Stylingcorner processes data is described in the Privacy Centre.
8. Availability and support
Stylingcorner aims for reliable operation but does not guarantee any particular availability (no service level agreement). Maintenance is carried out outside usual opening hours where possible.
Support is provided by email at the address in the legal notice. Fixed response times are not part of the contract.
Features may be developed further, changed or discontinued. We announce material restrictions in advance.
9. Liability
The business's services: the business alone is liable for its treatments, its price and service information, keeping appointments, and compliance with the professional, health and advertising rules that apply to it.
Stylingcorner's services: liability for intent and gross negligence cannot be excluded (Art. 100 para. 1 of the Swiss Code of Obligations) and is not excluded here. Otherwise, for slight negligence Stylingcorner is liable only for direct damage and in total up to the amount of subscription fees the business paid in the twelve months before the damaging event.
Technical interruptions: for damage from unavailability, maintenance, transmission errors or disruptions at service providers (hosting, email delivery, Stripe), Stylingcorner is liable only for intent or gross negligence. The business takes reasonable precautions of its own for an interruption (e.g. access to exported appointment data, being reachable by phone).
Not excluded are liability for personal injury, liability under the Swiss Product Liability Act, liability under mandatory data protection law, and any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
The business indemnifies Stylingcorner against third-party claims arising from its content, its services or a breach of these terms; claims for which Stylingcorner is itself responsible are excepted.
10. Termination
The business may cancel at any time. Cancellation is started in PRO and handled by support; it takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and PRO remains fully usable until then. No further period is charged. There are no pro-rata refunds of periods already paid.
Stylingcorner may terminate with 30 days' notice to the end of a period.
In the event of serious breaches (e.g. unlawful content, repeatedly missed appointments, non-payment) Stylingcorner may suspend access or terminate the contract for cause.
After the contract ends, the business can request its data (in particular appointment, customer and sales data) at the address in the legal notice; there is currently no self-service export feature, and the export is done manually. The business itself is responsible for retaining its own business records and accounting vouchers (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations) and should therefore request its data in good time.
There is currently no automated deletion or anonymisation process for business data after the contract ends. Stylingcorner deletes or anonymises the data manually at the business's request, unless a statutory retention duty prevents it; copies in backups are only removed when they expire. The period and procedure will be published in the Privacy Centre ("Data Retention & Deletion" page) once decided.
11. Changes to these terms
Changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by email or in PRO. If the business continues to use the platform after that, the amended terms apply; otherwise it may cancel with effect from the end of the period.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
