Vouchers come from a salon and nowhere else. The salon issues them free of charge, in the name of one particular customer.
You cannot buy a voucher on Stylingcorner — neither for yourself nor as a present. There is no online gift card sale.
Where a voucher comes from
A salon can issue you a voucher, for instance as an apology, as a thank-you, or as part of a promotion. It always originates at the salon and never on the website.
The voucher is in your name. It is tied to your customer relationship with that one salon, not to a code somebody else could redeem.
You are not notified when a salon issues you a voucher. It simply appears in your account.
The three kinds
- Gift card
- A balance in francs. You can use it up across several visits until it reaches zero. A gift card does not expire.
- Discount in francs
- A fixed amount deducted from one bill, once.
- Discount in percent
- A percentage deducted from one bill, once.
Discount vouchers apply exactly once. If your bill is smaller than the discount, the remainder is forfeited. They can also carry an expiry date.
Redeeming
Redemption always happens at the salon, at the till, when you pay. Simply say at checkout that you have a voucher.
- The salon sees your voucher in its own system and applies it.
- Some vouchers are valid only at certain locations or for certain services. That is stated on the voucher.
- A voucher is only valid at the salon that issued it.
You cannot use a voucher when booking online. The booking flow has no field for a voucher code, and a deposit cannot be paid with a voucher.
Viewing your vouchers
- Sign in and open the «Vouchers» area in your account.
- Under «Active» you find every voucher you can still use.
- Under «History» you find the used up, expired and cancelled ones.
Each voucher shows the salon, the kind, the value or remaining balance, the validity and any message from the salon. A gift card additionally shows every movement with its date and the balance left.
The area is called «Vouchers & style points», but style points do not exist yet and a loyalty programme is not part of Stylingcorner.
What is not possible yet
- Buying a voucher or giving one as a present: not possible.
- Transferring a voucher to another person: not possible, it is tied to your name.
- Printing a voucher or downloading it as a file: not possible.
- Having a voucher paid out in cash: not possible.
- If a paid appointment is refunded later, a discount voucher used for it does not come back automatically. Talk to the salon in that case.
