All the details are in the privacy centre. This article explains the three things you need day to day: what is stored, how to get a copy, and how a deletion works.
Stylingcorner is operated by IDS Business Live AG in Zurich. There is one address for every privacy matter: legal@stylingcorner.ch.
What is stored
- Your contact details from registration and the moment you accepted the terms and the privacy policy.
- Your bookings: which service, when, at which salon, which cancellation terms were shown to you, and the payment details.
- Your favourites, your reviews and the salons' replies to them.
- Your language setting and your four marketing consents as simple yes-no values.
- If you agreed to it: anonymous usage statistics of the website, which we evaluate ourselves.
Payments run through a payment provider. Stylingcorner never receives your full card number.
The salon you book with also keeps its own customer records. That data belongs to the salon. Deletion there is something you discuss with them directly.
Getting a copy of your data
What you need
- A Stylingcorner account, or an email from the address we have on file
- Open «Profile & settings» and go to the privacy area.
- Submit a request of the type «Access» or «Export my data».
- We process the request by hand. It does not happen instantly.
- Once the file is ready, a download button appears in your list of requests.
It also works without signing in: write to legal@stylingcorner.ch. The privacy centre's «Rights» page has prepared messages for exactly this.
There is no instant download at the press of a button. The file is only made available after your request has been reviewed.
Having your account deleted
A deletion is requested, not clicked. There is deliberately no button that removes your account on the spot.
- In the privacy area of your settings, submit a request of the type «Delete my account». Without signing in, write to legal@stylingcorner.ch.
- We verify that the request really comes from you. Nothing happens without a confirmed identity.
- An authorised person at Stylingcorner carries out the deletion.
It is carried out as anonymisation: your email address is made unusable, your name is replaced by a placeholder, phone number and profile picture are removed, the password loses its validity, all sessions and remembered devices end, and every marketing consent is switched off. You can no longer sign in afterwards.
What remains after a deletion
Anonymisation is not the same as vanishing without trace. Some things remain, either because they belong to other people or because the law requires them to be kept.
- Your bookings at the salon, its own customer records, and the related accounting documents.
- Published reviews and the salons' replies to them.
- Payment records at the payment provider and in the accounts.
- Technical logs and backups, until they expire in the ordinary course.
If you no longer want a particular review to be public, delete it yourself beforehand. After the 30-day window, that is only possible through a request to us.
The privacy centre
The privacy centre holds all the detail: the privacy policy, cookies and tracking, your rights, retention and deletion, security, payments, the providers we use, transfers abroad, reviews, and the change history.
The «Rights» page is the fastest route: every concern there leads to a prepared message to our privacy address.
The texts in the privacy centre exist in German and English; in other languages you see the German version with a notice. You can change your cookie settings there at any time.
