Revenue & reports

What counts as revenue, which periods and filters exist, how tips and refunds are treated, and how to export as CSV.

The revenue report shows what your business took in over a period — broken down by time, payment method, services, products and people.

It is part of PRO and requires the “see revenue” permission. The owner always has it, managers have it by default, employees only when you grant it explicitly.

What counts as revenue

Only completed sales are counted, on the day they were completed. A sale that is fully paid but not yet completed does not appear in revenue.

Gross revenue
Total of completed sales after discounts, without tips.
Refunds
Successfully refunded amounts. They are attributed to the period of the original sale, not to the day of the refund.
Net revenue
Gross minus refunds.
Tips
Their own figure, never part of revenue. They are included in the payment method breakdown because the customer paid them.
Average sale
Gross revenue divided by the number of completed sales.

Money sitting on sales that are not completed yet — for example online deposits for future appointments or amounts retained from cancellations — is shown separately as “not included in revenue”.

Periods and filters

You pick a period from the presets — today, yesterday, last 7 days, this month, last month, this year — or set it yourself. The longest possible period is 366 days.

  • Up to 62 days the data is grouped by day, above that by week starting Monday.
  • All times refer to the Europe/Zurich time zone.
  • Every period is automatically compared with the equally long period immediately before it.
  • You can filter by location and by person.

If you filter by a person, the report only shows their share of gross revenue. Refunds, net, tips, discounts and payment methods stay empty, because they belong to the whole sale and cannot be attributed to one person.

The breakdowns

  • A curve over the selected period.
  • Payment methods, split into paid online and paid on site.
  • Services against products.
  • People, based on the recorded items. Items without a person appear as unassigned.
  • The ten highest-grossing services and the ten highest-grossing products.

Redeemed gift cards appear as a payment method, never as additional revenue. Voucher sales are not reported, because they do not exist yet.

VAT is only shown when a rate is stored on individual items. Rates cannot currently be stored for services, so this figure is usually empty.

Export as CSV

What you need

  • The “see revenue” permission
  1. Set the period and the filters.
  2. Choose the CSV export.
  3. Open the file in your spreadsheet program.

The file contains one row per completed sale with date, sale number, customer, person, location, items, payment methods, gross revenue, tip, refunds and net revenue. Columns are separated by semicolons and the file is encoded as UTF-8.

There is no PDF export.

What is not possible yet

  • The revenue report is the only report. There are no utilisation or appointment statistics.
  • There is no end-of-day or shift report.
  • There are no commission or per-person tip statements.
  • Margin, purchase cost and inventory valuation are not reported.
  • Reports cannot be subscribed to or sent automatically.
